The Rayapurwa festival is unique—there is no permanent temple structure. Instead, devotees trek to the sacred site in Ghodegaun, Tila-6, Jumla, to celebrate Poush Purnima in the open, under the sky. Reaching Rayapurwa requires an uphill hike from Nagma Bazaar. Every year on the full moon of Poush, hundreds of pilgrims make this journey to offer prayers and take part in traditional rituals. Deeply rooted in faith and cultural heritage, Rayapurwa holds great potential as a religious tourism destination.
